In a world where darkness reigns, the cost of love is eternal.

Eleyta’s throne belongs to the most powerful vampire, and it’s up to Sebastian and Luna to challenge the Queen and save the realm.

Unfortunately, that won’t be easy. Having survived Queen Marguerite’s deadly tournament, they are fugitives. Despite the peril lurking in the shadows, escape is not an option.

The prophecy is hanging over their heads. the darkness is here, and the red moon will soon rise. Sebastian’s bond with his Maker must be broken, and they need to learn the Tether’s secrets before time runs out.

As unyielding darkness threatens to consume them, Sebastian and Luna face their greates challenge.

The Queen must be stopped, no matter the cost.

Even if it’s death.

I am not one to DNF books. I paid for it, I’m going to read it….no matter how many times I want to quit. Out of the three books….this is by far my least favorite. And I hate that! This series had sooo much potential. The premise is there. The idea is there. But the writing and the pacing just don’t deliver on everything that I wanted it too. I understand it is classified as YA/NA but even teenagers would find the reptitiveness a little annoying.

Let me start by asking….What kind of nickname is Mar-Mar??????? In all the nicknames in the world, all the imagnation of a vampire world….we got Mar-Mar. *SCREAM*

I was so looking forward to this “prophechy” that was hinted sparingly but was not delivered. There was so many unanswered questions that I almost threw the book. But, hey, I guess that’s a good thing. Because here it is weeks after reading the book and I am still thinking about how the prophecy was NOT DELIVERED!!! I’ve heard rumors there will be a fourth book and I might read it if the missing pieces from this one are finally explained. The epilogue literally drove me crazy. Like how do you have the final battle towards the last chapter and then skip ahead a few years. I want to know how the **** they fixed the kingdom the Queen destroyed. She would literally destroy human villages at a whim because she despised humans. I need to know!!!!

We are still being given repetitive phrases throughout the entire book. We got it after the first book. Luna likes to read, Luna is a scholar, Luna wants to do ‘research’. But now we’re plagued with Sebastian constantly gushing over Luna and how she’s ‘his’….repetitive.

I enjoyed the addition of the third POV from the Queen, it gave a small glimpse into why she doesn’t like humans, but I feel like it could have been more. It did, however, confirm my distaste for the character. Which, I have to hand it to the author. She did an excellent job of making me hate the Queen.

Again, if you’re into Vampire, Romance or fantasy you can definitely give this a try. I am not mad that I read it. I just don’t think it will be on my “read again” list like many of my other books.
